Medcelerator 2025 is a three-day acceleration program designed to help small and medium-sized Swedish medtech, healthtech, and biotech companies establish and grow their presence in the U.S. Initiated by the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York, SACCNY, and Invest in Skåne, in collaboration with the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce New England, SACCNE, the program provides direct access to two of the most dynamic life science markets in the world: Boston and New York.
The 2025 program will run from September 17–19, with sessions in Boston on September 17–18 and in New York on September 19.
Participants benefit from a curated agenda featuring targeted meetings with leading companies and stakeholders, one-on-one investor sessions, and pitch opportunities to prominent investor networks.
The program also offers in-depth market insights on funding opportunities, and FDA-related regulations, along with tailored business and export support to accelerate a successful U.S. market entry.
Program Highlights 2025
September 3
The program opens with a digital kick-off together with the organizers, partners, and speakers. The cohort takes off, starting with an exclusive online pitch training with a strong focus on adapting and tailoring their message for the U.S market.
September 17
The Boston program kicks off with a roundtable breakfast, market insights from Back Bay Life Science Advisors, state and funding opportunities with MOITI & MLSC, and innovation insights from Flagship Pioneering.
The evening is spent at a reception at the Swedish Honorary Consul’s residence with company pitches and networking, followed by group dinner.
September 18
The program continues with company presentations including Diamyd Medical, CIC tour, MassMedic briefing, and Life Science Nation session.
The delegation travels together by train from Boston to New York.
September 19
The New York program starts off with a breakfast briefing at SACCNY, 1:1 investor meetings, and a matchmaking lunch with keynote speaker and company pitches.
We round up with sessions on legal, reimbursement, and market-entry insights at Nixon Peabody, including presentations from NJEDA and NYCEDC.
